ISBN Application Denied Prevention

Some  authors were struggling in claiming their ISBN or International Standard Book Number from the National Book Development Board because they didn’t exactly know what they were doing. But when you understand how to claim your own ISBN, you’ll realize that it’s not that hard.

National Book Development Board or NBDB only rejects your application if you didn’t follow the requirements they needed to proceed with the approval of your ISBN. You just need to fill out the ISBN application form and attach the first (3) three pages of your book in either PDF or doc format.

PAGE 01: TITLE PAGE WITH THE AUTHOR’S FULL NAME.

On the very first page of your book, the title must be included there including the full name of the author. They might also ask for other details like your gmail.

PAGE 02: COPYRIGHT AND THE PUBLISHER

It is important that you send the page of your copyright and the name of the publisher. Do not be confused with the publisher and with the printing shop. If you are a self-published author, the correct term would be, Independently Published by [Author’s Name].

To ensure that your ISBN is going to be approved right off the bat, you should follow this format:

When I submitted that format, my ISBN was approved, so I strongly suggest that you follow that format. For more guidance about self-publishing, it is recommended that you subscribe on my website so you could learn more. Don’t worry, you’re safe from email spam!
